The Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered Trees is asking members of the public from every country to have their say in the public consultation process of the Forest Stewardship Council regarding their proposal to weaken their ban against genetically engineered trees. The campaign has a new sign-on letter which individuals and groups can join. GMWatch has signed.
It is critical that we let the FSC know that genetically engineered trees are not now nor ever will be acceptable.
The campaign has created a new sign-on system that will enable many more people to take part easily.
The new sign-on letter to the FSC can be found at the link below. Please sign on as an individual or on behalf of your group/association.

With the recent approval of glyphosate-resistant genetically engineered eucalyptus trees in Brazil developed by FSC member Suzano, ensuring the FSC ban on genetically engineered trees is not weakened is more important now than ever!
Thank you for continuing to support the campaign to protect forests and communities from the release of genetically engineered trees into the environment.
