GENETIC CONTAMINATION IN EAST HOATHLY, SUSSEX

A field near East Hoathly in East Sussex (between Lewes and Heathfield, Uckfield and Hailsham) is to be the site for a GM farm scale evaluation trial site growing genetically modified (GM) oilseed rape in the open environment.  The GM oilseed rape could be planted anytime from mid-March through April but not if the Sussex GenetiX Action group can stop it and they are currently throwing everything at it.  The host farmer is: Mr Jeremy Courtney, Crouch's Farm, East Hoathly, E. Sussex.  Voice your opposition to the trial to the host farmer and ask him not to plant the GM crop.  This trial site has already catalysed local and regional opposition.  Get involved in the campaign to stop the trial before it even begins.  Contact Sussex GenetiX Action: 01273 628441.
