1.David King promoting GM on the BBC
2.Jimmy's Farm strictly GM-free!

NOTE: Let's hope Prof. King (item 1) doesn't start telling people about mythical GM crop successes this time, like he did on BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

And note how Jimmy Doherty (item 2), who was so anxious to promote GM-contaminated sausages to shoppers in Jimmy's GM Food Fight, keeps his own sausages strictly GM-free!

Here's an example of a Jimmy exchange with a Norwich shopper:

Jimmy: "Now, this one could, potentially, be better for the environment, the GM one."
Shopper: "It could be better?"
Jimmy: "Yes, could be better, because there are less pesticides used on the land, the herbicides, there's less herbicide on the land for this production system than the conventional one."
Shopper; "Then I would change my mind. I'll go for a GM [sausage], and eat it triumphantly."
[GMW: USDA data shows that GM crops substantially increase herbicide use, and because most GM crops are herbicide- resistant they also increase the use of pesticides too!

Taking scientists out of their labs and on to the streets

Monday 1 to Friday 5 December 2008, 3.45pm-4.00pm

Five leading scientists working in controversial areas go face to face with some of their harshest critics.

Programme 3 - GM Foods - 3.45pm today Wed. 3 Dec.

In this programme, the former chief scientific advisor to the government, Sir David King has breakfast at the Magic Café in east Oxford.

Sir David is passionate about GM crops and believes they could save the lives of millions of malnourished people around the world.

On the other hand, the café was a hotbed of anti-GM activism back in the 1990s, when campaigners took direct action against GM crops.

Hi Marcus

Thank you for your email. In answer to your questions all our products are completely GM free as is the feed which we use for all the animals.

I hope that helps.

Kind regards

Subject: GM ingredients

Hello

Do Jimmy's Farm products contain any genetically modified (GM) ingredients, or derivatives of GM ingredients? Are the pigs fed on feed which contains GM ingredients?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks & regards
Marcus Williamson
