All of us opposed to GM contamination in Europe really need to get to work on this - there is a lack of signatures even from some of the countries with the most active anti-GM movements! These include Germany, the UK, Austria, Italy and Slovenia, for example.

The deadline for the 350 signatures is just 3 weeks away - June 13th - and so far another 225 MEP signatures are still needed in order to make this a law. If we fail, it sends entirely the wrong signal to the pro-GM Commission! So, as it says below, PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO HELP MAKE EUROPE GMO FREE AND SEND LETTERS TO MEPs.

You can find ready list of the e-mails to the MEPs and also example of letters which you can use at http://icppc.pl/pl/gmo/index.php?id=224.

There is a list of MEPs who have already signed at http://www.icppc.pl/nowy/panel/files/gmo/pe-listapodpisow.pdf

Only 125 MEPs want a GMO free Europe?

Dear Friends,

We were very happy to inform you about the historical action of the Polish government ban onthe import and sale of GM seeds. HOWEVER, WE NOW NEED AN EQUALLY POWERFUL SIGNAL TO COME FROM THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT. That is why we are writing to you again, URGING YOU TO HEIGHTEN PRESSURE ON MEPs to sign Mr Wojciechowski's 'Statement' which calls for every region and Country in Europe to have the right to refuse the import and trading of GMO.

!!!!The deadline for the 350 signatures required to carry the Statement is June 13th. So far 125 MEP's have signed, so 225 more are still needed in order to make this a law - with less than 3 weeks to go!! If MEP's don't or wont act now, the European Commission will be handed a further excuse to force GMO food on European citizens and GM seeds into our agricultural markets. We must not give them this passport. So please try again to get MEP's to act NOW in defense of a GMO Free Europe! MEPs can sign this declaration during the plenary sessions - in the front of the Hemicycle or in between the plenary sessions in the room PHS 02A019, in Brussels. PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO HELP MAKE EUROPE GMO FREE AND SEND LETTERS TO MEPs.

You can find ready list of the e-mails to the MEPs and also example of letters which you can use http://icppc.pl/pl/gmo/index.php?id=224. There is a lost of MEPs who have already signed at http://www.icppc.pl/nowy/panel/files/gmo/pe-listapodpisow.pdf
